Ready to Paint Cornucopia 

This piece measures aprox. 16" long x 6" tall and is fired to cone 04. The interior of the Cornucopia is clear glazed which is perfect for live flowers or plant.

Pumpkin Bowl with Lid

This pumpkin measures aprox. 6" tall x 5" wide, is fired to cone 04 and will arrive clear glazed inside.

I also added a new Angel for your holiday decor

This adorable Angel measures aprox. 9" tall x 4 1/2" wide and is fired to cone 04.

Great New Items For The Summer!

Well I see it has been awhile since I blogged about some new items that I have added to my catalog at The Bisqueware Barn, so you are in for a treat today! 

Over the past few weeks I had added some really nice items, here goes, hope you enjoy!

First up is this beautiful Chess Set, this is the Atlantis Chess Set, which is beautifully detailed.

The tallest piece Neptune measures aprox. 8" tall, the shortest pieces measure aprox. 3 1/2" tall, the bottom of the pieces measure between 2 1/2" to 1 1/2" across. These pieces are fired to cone 04. 

This would make and wonderful gift for someone who plays chess.

The next item I want to share with you today is a really nice cannister set. This set has  the basket bases and the lids are chickens.

These will arrive to you clear glazed inside so you can then finish them either with acrylic or glaze finish. The set is fired to cone 04, the tallest cannister measures aprox. 10" tall and the shortest measures aprox. 7 1/2" tall.

I have also added a deviled egg plate, which is a great items any time of the year at least my house anyway.

This plate measures aprox. 9" x 8" across and is fired to cone 04. Since we are big deviled egg loveers I made two of these plates for myself.

I wanted colors that I could use year around and one that was nice for fall and winter, so I glazed the one plate Cobalt Blue and the other plate is glazed using Harvest Time. Both these glazes are Duncan glazes.

I was very happy this past Sunday when I made deviled eggs to have these plates to  serve them from for dinner.

They were delicious with are barbecue ribs and potato salad!

Ready To Paint Lighted Silhouettes Ceramic Bisque

Today I thought I would tell you about some of the ready to paint lighted silhouette pieces I have to offer from The Bisqueware Barn .

This first one features a cat sitting gazing out the window, I know just waiting for their owner to come home.

This piece measures aprox. 9" wide x 10" tall and comes with the clip light and bulb so you can light it up when you finish painting your piece.

These next 2 silhouettes would make a great piece for any boys room. This fist one is a Papa Bear and Baby Bear enjoying time outside riding a scooter, this one measures aprox. 9" tall x 8" wide and would make such a nice night light for there room.

The Dinosaur Silhouette would be wonderful as well in a boys room, I know only to well how much little boys love dinosaurs.

And for the holidays which I know is a ways off I added a few more

Dolphin's Have Arrived At The Bisqueware Barn

Hi everyone! I have some beautiful Dolphin pieces to share with you today that I added to my catalog from The Bisqueware Barn.

The first piece is a beautiful double Dolphin's jumping from waves!

 This bisque piece measures aprox. 13" tall x 9" long and has amazing detail to it!

I fired this piece to cone 04, so you can apply either acrylic paints or you can use glazes, the finishing possibilities as endless and what a great gift for a friend or family member who is a Dolphin lover.

Here is another great piece for you to paint, it is a Dolphin ocean beach scene with either the sunset or sunrise in the background (which ever way you decide it to be) that lights up with a clip light and night light bulb.

I love this piece it has it all, the dolphins, the waves, sea shells and palm trees. This piece measures aprox. 8 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" long and the clip light with night light bulb is included when you purchase this piece.

This piece would also make a wonderful gift! It is fired to cone 04 so you can finish it in either acrylic or glaze!

My Great Find Yesterday!

So, yesterday afternoon I needed to run to Michaels Art and Crafts store for some sealer and to price out some other items I was looking for.  Well my local store usually has bins of clearance items or items on special out front on the sidewalk and they did yesterday as well. They had a bin called Grab Bag, every bag was $2.00 each.  So...this is what I bought for $8.00 (sorry couldn't stop at one bag lol)

Yup for $8.00 I received tons of silk flowers (20 -27 stems of flowers in each bag), rolls and rolls of ribbon,  one bag had the 3 baskets which one basket retailed for $16.99!


 The large containers were in a separate bag for $2.00 which I plan on painting a design on the outside before filling it with flowers. I really liked the rough exterior of them will really make the design I paint stand out.

It would really be worth the trip if you have a Michaels near you to see if they have the $2.00 grab bag at your location. I have some great plans for my items!

Adorable Shar-Pei Puppy Bank Ceramic Ready To Paint!

Okay, this little guy is just adorable! Shar-Pei puppy ready to paint bisque bank from The Bisqueware Barn.

 This cute little guy measures aprox. 8 1/2" long x 2 1/2" tall and is fired to cone 04 and will come with a stopper.

This Shar-Pei puppy bank would make a wonderful gift for a birthday or holiday!


Today I thought I would share a picture of one that I had painted.

I started by painting the entire piece a dark brown, then continued to dry brush lighter shades of brown until I developed the color I was looking for, his nose is black and his eyes are white with a light brown and black. After he dried I then sealed him with 3 coats of an interior/exterior varnish.

I just love his face, he is just to cute!

Its A New Year, So New Items!

First off I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

 With that said I have some great new items that I have added to my site The Bisqueware Barn, actually I added 12 new items today! I wanted to share a couple of them with you today.
 
 The first piece is Indian Lovers, this piece has such beautiful detail and would make a great addition to your Southwestern Decor or a great gift for someone you know.

 This piece is fired to cone 04 and measures aprox. 8" tall x 5" wide.

 The back of the piece is very detailed, this really is a beautiful piece of bisque! 
  
 I added a really fun piece which would be wonderful for a baby boy or toddler boys room.

 Papa Bear and Baby Bear lighted silhouette which does come with the night light clip so after you have finished painting it you will be able to plug it in and light up your art work. This piece makes a great night light in a child's room and would also make a wonderful gift!

 How about something for the kitchen? These guys are really cute, Chef/Cook Salt and Pepper Shakers!

 These two measure aprox. 4 1/2" tall x 2" wide, will arrive to you clear glazed inside and stoppers in the bottom of them. They are also fired to cone 04.

 I am thinking about making a set for myself, they will look great with my Chef/Cook spoon rest that is also available through The Bisqueware Barn!
